QCAS Miss Showgirl

The Ekka is proud to host the 11 state finalists for Miss Showgirl, a competition promoting young women involved in Queensland's Agricultural Show Movement. These young women are selected from hundreds of entrants across the 128 agricultural shows throughout Queensland, with this year's awards marking the 35th year of the competition. 

The Miss Showgirl competition provide these young women with the amazing opportunity to gain personal development, learn life-long skills and to pursue leadership roles in the community and in the workplace.  The competition has made a significant contribution to the advancement of women in regional and rural areas ever since the first Queensland Showgirl was awarded in 1983.

The presentation and announcement of the 2017 winner will be held on Friday 11 August at 3pm on the Entertainment and Fashion Stage, Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC).
