Dairy Cattle

Dairy Cattle

Competition Overview

The cream of Queensland’s dairy industry gathers annually at the Royal Queensland Show for one of the largest showings of dairy cattle in Australia. The best of the best in Australian dairy cattle will be showcased across six breeds - Ayrshire, Guernsey, Illawarra, Jersey, Holstein and Brown Swiss.

Around 250 head of cattle will compete on the quality of their milk, with a highlight of the competition the Supreme Champion Dairy Cow of Show.

Important Update - Exciting New Home

In 2021, the Dairy Cattle Competition will relocate to the Lower Beef Pavilion (Norco Shed). This means exhibitors will be closer to their onsite accommodation and will have more time for bump in.
