Scarecrows have helped save farmers' crops for hundreds of years. The School Scarecrow Competition supported by Brunnings offers students a great opportunity to combine their geography skills and knowledge with design and art.
Students will be given the opportunity to step back in time and research a decade in history. They will work together to dress the scarecrow according to that era and to the crops and food that were popular at that time.
The winner will be presented by the Governor of Queensland his Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey and the winning scarecrow will be placed in the gardens of Government House!
