Agricultural Sciences & Fermented Beverages

Agricultural Sciences & Student Fermented Beverages

Competition Overview

The competition is a fun way to educate students about the importance of agriculture and producing quality products.

NEW is the introduction of Kombucha and Kefir competition classes, shining a light on the category of Fermented Beverages. These classes will sit alongside pre-existing classes for student wines and other non-wine beverages including cider, ginger beer and honey mead.

Classes 1 to 11 are open for competition to schools that incorporate winemaking or fermentation studies in Chemistry, Science, Agriculture, and Hospitality as part of their curriculum.

This competition has been aligned for grade 11, however students from multiple year levels are encouraged to participate.
