Dairy Cattle Competition Location Change

Dear Exhibitor

The RNA Dairy Committee would like to provide you with an important update on the 2023 Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) Dairy Cattle Competition.

Due to the Norco Shed building no longer being in use, dairy cattle will return to level 1 of the Large Animal Pavilion next to dairy goats - the same place they were housed in 2019. The Norco Milking Barn activation will now be located on the ground floor of the Large Animal Pavilion.

Judging will take place on the Main Arena on Friday 18 August. As per 2019, a special corridor will be erected for exhibitors to lead their cattle from the Large Animal Pavilion, under the railway tunnel to judging on the Main Arena. The distance from the Large Animal Pavilion to the Main Arena is approximately 100 metres. The Main Arena will feature watering points and extensive shade for cattle, plus tiered seating for exhibitors.

Dairy cattle will bump in on Monday 14 August and bump out on Sunday 20 August from 6pm. More information on bump in and bump out will be made available when entries open in May.
