One of the largest annual gatherings of dairy goats in Queensland occurs at the Royal Queensland Show.
Anglo-Nubian, Australian Melaan or Australian Brown, British Alpine, Saanen and Toggenburg dairy goats are judged on their physical attributes and their ability to produce quality dairy products.
Each breed has its own special characteristics and personality traits. They are also suited to different climates and environments, with different breeds suited to various parts of Australia's diverse landscape.
At this year's Ekka, the Dairy Goats will be Judged on Level 1 of the Large Animal Pavilion on the Friday 16th of August 2024. If you would like to visit the Dairy Goats, they will be housed on Level 1 of the Large Animal Pavilion from 12pm Monday 12th August 2024
