Competition Overview

The cream of Queensland’s dairy industry gathers annually at the Royal Queensland Show for one of the largest showings of dairy cattle in Australia in our Dairy Cattle Competition presented by Aussie Helpers.

Around 250 head of cattle will compete on the quality of their milk, with a highlight of the competition the Supreme Champion Dairy Cow of Show.

The Dairy Cattle Competition presented by Aussie Helpers is one of Australia's richest competitions of its kind in Australia, offering $24,000 in prize money.

Queensland’s best of the best dairy cattle will be showcased in four breed categories: Illawarra, Jersey, Holstein and Combined Breeds, which include Ayrshire, Guernsey and Brown Swiss.
