Where can I buy an Ekka 2025 Ticket?

Tickets for Ekka 2025 will be available for purchase online only. Subscribe to the Ekka database to find out first and get the best deal!

What do I get with my Ekka Ticket?

You get admission for your chosen day and access to all the free activities Ekka has to offer! Get hands-on in our variety of fun animal activities, view all our magnificent competition displays, watch our action-packed live competitions, visit our entertainment stages for some of the nation's best performances and catch our ever-popular night show "EkkaNITES!"

Can I change my day after purchasing?

This year, ticket purchasers are able to do a self Day Change. If you need to change your nominated day/s, you can click on the Day Change link provided in your ticket confirmation email.

Back For More Passes are not valid for a Day Change. The validity period will remain to the days of Show after your original ticket's nominated day at the time of purchase.

Please note that a day change can only be done ONCE and no further edits can be made after 11.59pm, Wednesday 6 August 2025.

Once the deadline has passed, the link will expire regardless if it has been used. Therefore, it will not work anymore.

To change a Super Saver day to a Regular Day, charges may apply.

Am I eligible for a discount on entry to ekka?

Can I leave the ground and re-enter on the same ticket?

Valid Ekka Ticket holders may be granted a pass that allows them to leave and to re-enter the Brisbane Showgrounds (a Pass Out), subject to the conditions in this section.

Pass Outs may be claimed free of charge by Ekka Ticket holders at the gates within the Brisbane Showgrounds between 9am - 8pm on any day the ticket-holder enters the Ekka with an Ekka Ticket.

Each Ekka Ticket holder is permitted to claim one (1) Pass Out per day only.

Pass Outs are only valid for use for re-entry to the Brisbane Showgrounds on the day the Pass Out is issued.

The Ekka Ticket holder can use their Pass Out on multiple occasions for re-entry during the day their Pass Out is issued.

The RNA reserves all rights to refuse entry to the Ekka to any person who does not hold a valid Pass Out.

Ekka Tickets must not be offered for resale including via online sale platforms such as eBay and Gumtree, except via RNA’s authorised agents.

I bought a ticket online and have not received it, what do I do?

Try searching your inbox or junk folder for an email from [email protected] or an SMS from +61 483 931 859 if you entered your phone number during checkout.

The SMS number is unmonitored, please do not reply.

During peak sale periods, tickets may take up to 24 hours to receive. 

If you’re still unable to find it or have yet to receive it after that time, please send our ​Guest Services team an email [email protected] with your full name and email address used during checkout and your order number (starting with T#…), if applicable.

Do I need to print my ticket/s?

At the gate we scan tickets presented on your phone or tickets that have been printed (not required). Please have your ticket ready when entering the event.

Can I bring food into Ekka?

Yes! You're welcome to bring a picnic lunch with you to Ekka. Please remember to dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided.

Can I bring alcohol into Ekka?

No, but there are several licensed venues where you can drink.

Can I smoke inside the Ekka?

There are designated smoking areas outside the Brisbane Showgrounds. Please be aware you are not allowed to take food or drink into smoking areas.

What should I do if I lose my child?

Don't panic - there is a dedicated Lost Persons station at the Gregory Terrace Police Station open between 9:00am and 8:30pm.

As part of the Keep Kids Safe program, parents are encouraged to collect a free wrist band from the police marquee on Gregory Terrace as soon as they arrive at Ekka. They can write their mobile number on their child's wristband, so if they become separated they can be reunited ASAP.

What do I do if I lose my purse/wallet/keys/backpack/other item?

Lost and found is located at Guest Services on the lower level of the Royal International Convention Centre. Alternatively, you can email [email protected] or call 07 3253 3900 with the details of the lost item.

How many Back For More Pass can I purchase?

The amount of eligible Back For More Pass will be determined by the ticket type and quantity purchased. A Back For More Pass is valid for 1 x entry – not age specific. 

If a ticket type allows entry for more than 1 person, the amount of eligible Back For Pass upgrades will follow: 

1 x Family Ticket will be eligible for up to 4 x Back For More Pass. 

1 x Adult & Child Ticket will be eligible for up to 2 x Back For More Pass. 

*A table will display the number of eligible passes for that order.

Are all tickets eligible for a Back For More Pass offer?

No, the Little Ekka Ticket and Return Ticket will not be eligible for a Back For More Pass.

What days will the Back For More Pass be valid for? Do I need to pre-select my day for their Back For More Pass?

The Back For More Pass will be valid for entry once for the remaining days of Show after your original ticket's nominated day. 

E.g. You purchased a ticket for Monday, 11th August. 

The available days for you to use your Back For More Pass will only be from Tuesday, 12th August to Sunday, 17th August. 

Your available days will be printed on the bottom of the Back For More Pass PDF attached in their confirmation email as shown below.

 

What if I do a Day Change for their original ticket’s nominated day? Will my Back For More Pass also be affected?

The Back For More Pass will not be valid for a Day Change, so it will not show up in your order when changing days.

The validity of the Back For More Pass will remain at the original validity period based on your initial nominated day selected at purchase. It will not adjust to the newly nominated day’s period. 

E.g. You changed your 1 x Adult Ticket valid for Tuesday, 12th August to the first Sunday, 10th August instead. 

Your Back For More Pass validity will stay unchanged and continue to only be valid from Wednesday, 13th August to Sunday, 17th August. 

Your Back For More Pass will still not be valid for use on Monday, 11th August as it follows your original nominated day for your main tickets at the time of purchase.

What if I select the last Sunday of Show – 17th August 2025 at the time of purchase?

If you select the last Sunday of Show – 17th August, you will not be prompted with the Back For More Pass offer.

What if I change my day for tickets valid for the last Sunday, 17th August to an earlier day? Will I be eligible for a Back For More Pass?

No, as your original nominated day at the time of purchase was already the last day of Show.

However, if you attend on your newly nominated day of entry, which is now not the last day of Show, you will be part of the database that will be eligible for a Return Ticket offer, based on availability.

You MUST be subscribed to receive the Return Ticket offer.

Ekka Fun Pass FAQs

What are Ekka Fun Pass credits?

Ekka Fun Pass Credits (‘FPC’) are the only way to pay and play throughout the ride areas at the 2025 Royal Queensland Show (‘Ekka’ or ‘Show’). You can purchase FPC by downloading the Ekka Fun Pass App (‘App’) or we can load a physical Fun Pass card for you at the Show. In 2025, you have the option of simply scanning your phone at rides and games using a dynamic QR code within the App. There is no requirement to collect a physical Fun Pass card.

Can I still pre-purchase credits and what’s available?

Carnival Fun Pass credit packages are available for pre-purchase on the App, sold as follows: 

  • 50 credits $45 (save $5.00) 

  • 100 credits $85 (save $15.00) 

  • 150 credits $120 (save $30.00) 

 

Service Fee of 1.5% apply to all e-commerce transactions. 

Service Fee of 1.5% + 30 cents apply to all onsite transactions. 

What happens with unused credits?

Load credits with confidence knowing that you can refund the value of unused FPC after the Show and have 14 days (18 August 2025 – 31 August 2025) to do so before credits and value expire. Refunds can only be processed via the Ekka Fun Pass App, and a processing fee of $2.50 will apply. 

Following your application, your request will be processed and released to your nominated account within 12 business days. At the end of the refund period, they will expire. They do not carry over to the next Show, or any future shows. 

How can I get my hands on a Fun Pass?

You can get a digital Ekka Fun Pass via the Ekka Fun Pass app or pick up a physical Ekka Fun Pass from one of our friendly staff at an Information Booth or self-serve kiosk. 

Can multiple people use the same Fun Pass?

Yes, your Fun Pass can be used by multiple people and the whole family at the same time – just tap and ride or tap and play. Up to 5 cards can be managed in the Ekka Fun Pass App at once.

Can I load credits by cash?

Yes. You can load your Fun Pass card with cash at any of the Information Booths at Ekka. 

Can I load credits by Credit Cards & EFTPOS?

Yes. You can do this via the Ekka Fun Pass App, at an Information Booth or self-serve kiosk at Ekka. 

What is a digital wallet?

A digital wallet is established when you download the Ekka Fun Pass app and create an account. When you purchase credits, your digital wallet is where the Fun Pass Credits are stored. 

What if I run out of credits?

You can top up via the Ekka Fun Pass app from the convenience of your smart phone or return to an Information Booth or self-serve kiosk at Ekka. 

Can I use the Fun Pass at rides and games?

Yes, all rides and games at the 2025 Royal Queensland Show accept Fun Pass credits. 

What if I lose my Fun Pass?

If you created a digital wallet using the Ekka Fun Pass App you need to pick up a new Fun Pass from a staff member or booth. A $4 replacement fee may apply. You will need to scan the new pass and transfer remaining credits. 

If you only purchased the Fun Pass card at the Show and did not link it to the Ekka Fun Pass App on your phone, then the credits are unfortunately lost with the card. The RNA is not responsible for the replacement of the Fun Pass Card or remaining credits. 

Where are my credits stored?

Credits are stored inside your digital wallet which sits in the cloud. When your Fun Pass or Ekka Fun Pass App is scanned your digital wallet is accessed and credits deducted. 

Are my credits secured?

Yes, Merchant Warrior is the processing platform used to securely store and transfer funds. For more information, their privacy policy can be found at merchantwarrior.com. 

How do I check my credit balance?

You can do this on your phone via the Ekka Fun Pass App or, you can scan your card at carnival rides to provide a balance. 

Can I keep my Fun Pass and use it next year?

Yes, you can reuse the same physical Fun Pass card in 2026 however the Fun Pass Credits do not stay on the card from the previous year. Unused credits expire on 31 August 2025. If you have unused credits and seeking a refund, you need to make a refund application via the Ekka Fun Pass App. You have 14 days (18 August – 31 August 2025) to make a refund application after which time the credits and value will expire. A processing fee of $2.50 applies. 

Fun Pass Credit Refunds

You can load credits with confidence knowing you can refund the value of unused credits after the Show, strictly for a limited time. To refund, simply jump into the Ekka Fun Pass app and use the ‘refund button’ to make an application within 14 days of the Show finishing. 

Refunds commence on 09:00am Monday 18 August 2025 until 11:59pm Sunday 31 August 2025 and will be processed within 14 business days. At the end of the refund period the credits expire, they do not carry over to the next Show. 

The value of unused credits will be returned within 14 business days of your application, please note that the refund application attracts a $2.50 processing fee. 

If I forget to process my refund, can I still get a refund after 31 August 2025?

No. If you do not process a refund within 14 days after the Show ends, the FPC on your card will expire. The Fun Pass Credits do not carry over to the following year, or any future shows. 

Do I have to close my digital wallet after the Show?

No, your digital wallet will be deleted securely. 

What if I don’t want a digital wallet? Can I still go on rides and play games at the Show?

Yes. You will need to attend a Fun Pass booth at Ekka and Fun Pass Credits will be loaded on when you select and pay for a package. You will need to create a digital wallet via the Ekka Fun Pass App if you wish to refund the value of unused Fun Pass Credits. 

Can I split credits between two Fun Passes?

Yes, you can do this via the Ekka Fun Pass App. 

I have downloaded the Ekka Fun Pass App. Do I still need a Fun Pass card or can I use my mobile phone?

You can choose to use the App for scanning at rides and games or link a physical Fun Pass card to your account. 

Can I use cash on carnival games?

No, physical cash cannot be used. Carnival games accept Fun Pass Credits, or you can pay by credit card or by EFTPOS. However, you can use physical cash to purchase a Fun Pass Card from an Info Booth at Ekka. 

Can the Fun Pass Credit on my digital Fun Pass be transferred to a physical Fun Pass at Ekka?

Yes, just scan the QR code on the back of a physical Fun Pass to link your account. 

What if my phone battery dies and/or my app becomes inaccessible? What happens to my Fun Pass and Fun Pass Credit?

Please attend a charging station located under the John Mac Tunnel. 

I’m still confused and have questions; can I speak to a human?

Can I buy an Ekka entry ticket at train stations?

Tickets are only available for purchase online via the Ekka website.

Is public transport included in my Ekka ticket?

No, however public transport fares are just 50 cents across all zones and modes on the Translink network across Queensland.

Is there parking at Ekka?

There are various car parks within walking distance to the Brisbane Showgrounds, including:

King St Car Park

Cornerstone Parking - Royal Brisbane Hospital

Secure Parking - Valley Metro Car Park

Secure Parking - McWhirters Car Park

 

Please be advised that parking slots are limited and may be fully booked out especially during the weekends and public holiday, so we do encourage catching public transport if you are able to.

 

Is the Exhibition station operating for Ekka 2025?

Exhibition Station is open for Ekka 2025! Public transport is one of the cheapest, easiest and most efficient ways to get to Ekka. With 50 cent public transport to the Show and trains arriving and departing from Exhibition Station inside the Show, it's never been easier to experience Ekka!

How do I make an entry?

Entries can be made via the Exhibitor Portal, found here.

All entries must be made online. If you require assistance, please call 07 3253 3900. 

Where can I find important information about a competition?

All important information relating to a competition will be available in the Schedule for that competition.

The schedule is located on the relevant competition webpage and in the entry form.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available if requested before the close of entries to request a refund please email [email protected].

After the competition has closed, no refunds will be granted, and entries that do not comply with schedule regulations will not be refunded.

Can I update or change my entry after submission?

Once an entry has been submitted, changes can only be made if the competition is still open.

Most changes can be made straight from the Exhibitor Portal, which can be found here.

How do I find the results?

Results can be found here.

Results for Competitions judged prior to show will go live on the Ekka Website on the first day of show. All other results will be available as they are finalised.

I’ve won Prize Money, when will I receive it?

Prize money will be paid into your nominated bank account by 31st October following the Show. Excluding Giant Pumpkin.

Is there Accommodation at the Ekka for exhibitors?

There is limited onsite accommodation for exhibitors.
