The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), Queensland's largest event, will be held between the 8th and 16th of August 2026.

Staged at its original birthplace, the Brisbane Showgrounds, the once-a-year event attracts more than 428,000 people who gather to see thousands of exhibits, 10,000 animals, world-class entertainment and taste award-winning food and wine.

Businesses can exhibit at the state's largest and most loved annual event - the Ekka.

The Show attracts more than 428,000 visitors and offers businesses a once-a-year opportunity to connect with a diverse range of customers, with most aged between 21 and 59.

The Ekka has more than 400 leasing spaces available across 11 unique sites.

Volunteer

We are ‘udderly’ excited to have you be part of our Volunteer Program!

The Ekka Community Volunteers assist our Ekka teams in engaging our guests in a range of activities across the Show each day.

From greeting guests at the gate with a warm “G’day!” to helping kids learn how to handle chickens and assisting with behind-the-scenes entertainment activations, make an impactful presence at the Queensland's largest event.

Membership

With a proud history, the RNA brings together more than 3,700 members.

These include politicians, sporting greats, leaders of industry, grandparents passing the tradition onto their grandchildren, competitors and those residents who love coming to the Show each year.

They hail from living just a few kilometres from the Brisbane Showgrounds, to south east and regional Queensland, interstate and overseas.

Competitions & Displays

The Ekka showcases the best of Queensland, attracting more than 21,000 competition entries from woodchop to giant vegetables and 10,000 animals from beef cattle to cats and dogs.

Competitions are the heart of the Ekka, rewarding and recognising exhibitors for their skill, hard work and dedication since 1876.

The competitive spirit comes alive as exhibitors vie for a coveted blue ribbon.
