With many things to see and do, we have put together some of the best food, entertainment and things to explore while you are here at the Brisbane Showgrounds. There is also the chance to visit our Ekka Beef Week health hub during your stay.

Woolworths Steak Bar 

Hungry? The Woolworths Steak Bar, located on Machinery Hill, is once again raising funds for Children’s Hospital Foundation. Not only will you get the best steak burger inside the Showgrounds, but you’re also helping to make a difference for sick kids.

Come along to the Suncorp Bank Breakfast BBQ and help raise funds for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation

Railway Café

Come get a feed at the Railway Café, offering a country style breakfast or hearty lunch during Ekka Beef Week.

Hot Doughnuts and Coffee

Need a morning pick me up? Start your morning with a doughnut and a coffee from the Hot Doughnuts and Coffee outlet.

Dairy King Soft Serve

Need to cool off? Come get a soft serve ice cream to cool you down.

The Royal Queensland Steakhouse presented by Kilcoy Global Foods

A fine dining restaurant like no other, serving the nation's best steak, lamb, wine and cheese as awarded by the Royal Queensland Awards (RQA) all in one exclusive location.

Available for a cash donation, EFTPOS also available, with all funds raised benefiting the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation. Suncorp Bank’s experienced Agribusiness Specialists will also be onsite to chat about how they can support your business.

Our involvement in Ekka Beef Week is all about connecting with the people who keep Queensland’s agriculture sector moving. WHSQ will be onsite sharing practical tools, safety resources, and expert advice to help producers and workers stay safe, healthy, and productive, both on and off the land.

For the first time at Ekka the JBS Butcher Truck is rolling in with live carcass breakdowns and tasty beef samples. See expert butchers in action and learn about your favourite cuts—it's a must-try experience for all!

Somerville House Marquee

Somerville House are supporting the Led Steer competition and their marquee on the Main Arena will have a special giveaway for you! Come along for a chat and grab yourself a giveaway.

Agforce Marquee

AgForce will be on the Main Arena during beef judging, with activities for kids, badge making, careers information and more. Make sure you drop in and see them. 

AgForce School to Industry Partnership Program will be hosting 2025 Career Snapshots during Ekka Beef Week. 

Where: Beef Cattle Ring – after judging is finished 

When: Monday 4 August, 5pm 

What: Agricultural professionals will present a day in their life, career pathways and opportunities in their field to students. Come and discover your agri-future! 

Skin Check Marquee

Come along and have a FREE skin cancer check with Dr Rupert Templeman, Dr Penny Templeman, Dr Toby Ford and associated volunteer dermatologists. The free service began in 2018, and last year volunteer doctors performed skin checks on 85 people during Ekka Beef Week with 4 melanomas picked up over two days. All ages welcome!

Somerville House Marquee

Somerville House are supporting the Led Steer competition and their marquee on the Main Arena will have a special giveaway for you! Come along for a chat and grab yourself a bottle of water and drawstring bag.

Heart of Australia, through partnership with Arrow Energy

Heart of Australia provides access to mobile specialist healthcare and testing in rural and remote communities. These 15-minute basic health checks comprise of a simple blood pressure reading, glucose and cholesterol reading. A results slip is provided to share with your GP at your next check-up appointment,

Mental Health Support

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) Mental Health team will be sharing resources and practical tips to spark conversations about mental health support. Attendees can pick up free materials, including RFDS’s Mental Health and Wellbeing on the Land booklet, designed to support mental wellness in rural and remote communities.

Pedestrian Access to Main Arena

 

From Monday 4th August to 6pm Friday 8th August there will be dedicated pedestrian corridors in place to give the general public and beef exhibitors guided access to the Main Arena and XXXX Stockmen’s Bar and Grill. 

The pedestrian corridors will run from Gate 1 through to the Main Arena; Gate 2 along King Street to the Main Arena and Gate 3 through to the Main Arena.
