The Royal Queensland Show (RQS) Rural Discovery Day sees primary students celebrate learn first hand the important role agriculture plays in feeding and clothing them every day.

Rural Discovery Day is a unique hands-on learning experience, students taste fresh fruit and produce, milk cows and pot seeds all while discovering how their foods get from paddock to plate through the help of real life farmers.

RNA Chief Executive Brendan Christou describes the RQS Rural Discovery Day as an example of the RNA's commitment and support to promoting Queensland's primary industries and the importance for children to develop an understanding of where food and fibre comes from.
