Getting to Ekka

Getting to Ekka

There are various car parks within walking distance to the Brisbane Showgrounds, including:

  • King Street Car Park
  • Cornerstone Parking - Royal Brisbane Hospital
  • Secure Parking - Valley Metro Car Park
  • Secure Parking - McWhirters Car Park

Public Transport

Public transport is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to get to Ekka.

Trains arrive and depart from Exhibition Station right in the middle of the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Timetables are available on the TransLink website and by calling 13 12 30. You can also plan your journey using their Journey Planner.

Discounted train tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children return; an Ekka admission ticket (either a printed or on your mobile phone) must be produced. The tickets are valid on all zones and on all modes of transport (excluding Airtrain) and are valid for the whole day.

Rideshare and taxis

It’s only a short rideshare or taxi ride to the Ekka from the city. Leave your car in the city and catch a rideshare service or taxi directly to the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Although cycling inside the grounds is off-limits, there are secure bike racks located in Carriage and King Streets.
