Competition Overview
A highlight of the horse competitions is the Showjumping Competition, which back in 1898 was one of the most spectacular attractions held in the Main Arena.
The Showjumping Competition promotes a favourite horse sport, with some of our exhibitors aspiring to compete at upcoming Olympics.
Open Showjumping Showcases presented by Queensland Off-The-Track (QOTT) offer an incredible $75,000 in prize money in total. Thanks to the generous support of QOTT, the 120cm class offers $50,000 in prize money while the new 105cm class has $25,000 up for grabs. The showcases help promote life after racing opportunities for retired racehorses. (Entry eligibility criteria and qualifying conditions apply - see Competition Schedule)

Please note, all horses entering the Brisbane Showgrounds MUST be Hendra vaccinated in accordance with the RNA’s Horse and Arena, and Veterinary, Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Committees regulations.
