Public transport

Public transport is the easiest and most efficient way to get to Ekka.

Trains arrive and depart from Exhibition Station right in the middle of the Brisbane Showgrounds and dedicated Ekka buses stop close to entry gates.

Timetables are available on the TransLink website and by calling 13 12 30.

To gain discounted Translink travel tickets of $6 for adults and $3 for children return, an Ekka admission ticket (either a hard ticket or online ticket on your mobile phone) must be produced.

Uber and taxis

It’s only a short Uber or taxi ride to the Ekka from the city. Leave your car in the city and catch an Uber or taxi directly to the Brisbane Showgrounds.

First time Uber users can get $20* credit if they use code EKKA18. Already an Uber user? Use promo code EKKA10 to save $10* off your trip to or from Ekka.

*Terms and conditions: New users promo code EKKA18 expires 31/12/18. Exisiting users promo code EKKA10 expires 19.08.2018. Excludes Uber Eats and Tazi. Trip must begin or end at the Brisbane SHowgrounds. Full T&Cs at

Although cycling inside the grounds is off limits, there are secure bike racks located in Carriage and King Streets.
