The Woodchop and Sawing Competition Competition is a show highlight and is one of the largest competitions at the Ekka.

Held at the Ekka for more than a century, axemen and women come from across the country to compete for equal prize money.

Strength, skill, and sheer determination are displayed in an electrifying battle of axes and saws!

Judging Commences

The Woodchop and Sawing Competition has been held at the Ekka for more than a century. The competition is a show highlight and is one of the largest competitions at the Ekka.

Axemen and women come from across the country to compete for equal prize money.
