Stud Beef Judging - Murray Grey

Stud Beef Judging - Murray Grey

{{eventDetail.ShortDesc}}

The Murray Grey was developed in Australia in the Upper Murray River Valley from a chance meeting between an Angus bull and a roan Shorthorn cow in 1905. The calves and subsequent offspring were a light grey in colour and combined the features of the Shorthorn and Angus breeds. Their popularity with cattlemen grew due to their rapid growth and high carcase yield, with cattle and semen now exported to New Zealand, USA, China, Canada and the United Kingdom.
