The Ekka (spelt by the taker as Ecca) 1949. My grandparents, aunty and great aunty and uncle. The baby is my cousin Suzanne. Carmel Worsnop (nee Smith) age 3 yrs, happily views the EKKA from the shoulders of her dad, Len Smith of Morningside, who is now "hands free". Photo appeared on front page of the Courier Mail and started a bit of a fashion for young children. 1941. Taken in 1937 of My Mother Daphne Eugarde aged 16 with her Grandmother Margaret McGee. The Big Chocolate Wheel was a favourite
of Margarets and she rarely walked away empty handed. The Ekka is still a family favourite 6 generations later. A horse team in the main arena in 1925 District Exhibits 1907. This picture was taken on a wet Ekka day in the late 50's by the Courier Mail, and was printed on the front page of the paper the following morning.
