Some of the state's most creative types are encouraged to enter Queensland's biggest Art and Crafts Competition. Arts and craft are always a popular show favourite, with entries on display at the Royal Queensland Show. Classes range from calligraphy, beading, embroidery and knitting, to leatherwork, egg decorating, Teddy Bears and bark pictures. There will be plenty of extraordinary creations to view, with 979 submissions exhibited across this diverse competition just last year.
The Ruby and Challice Evans Memorial Prize Grand Champion Exhibit will be awarded to the best exhibit from all Creative Art and Craft classes. The winner will receive the Grand Champion Rosette, Certificate, and $250 in prize money sponsored by De Vere Solutions Pty Ltd ATF De Vere Family Trust.
