The Angora goat is a breed of domestic goat from Turkey introduced in Australia in the 1830s. Angora goats produce the lustrous fibre known as mohair. This competition covers a number of different mohair fleece classes across skirted and commercial.
The Angora classes for Stud, Commercial, School and Production will be rested this year. We will be in touch with exhibitors following this year's Ekka to discuss the 2022 competition.
The Mohair Fleece component will run as a standalone competition this year and include Young Judges for the Mohair section.
