The Angora goat is a breed of domestic goat from Turkey introduced in Australia in the 1830s. Angora goats produce the lustrous fibre known as mohair. This competition covers a number of different classes with prizes awarded to the Grand Champion Angora, Champion Mohair Fleece and King Street Champion Production Class.
Don't miss the production classes, where three Angoras are shorn, fleeces skirted and classed into component fleece types. The fleeces are then weighed and valued at the commercial rate at the time of the show!
