Meet us at the gate from Friday 10 to Sunday 19 August 2018.
Gates open 9am daily and close at 8pm – with the exception of Gate 1 on Gregory Terrace which will remain open until late.
Please keep in mind Ekka attractions and pavilions close at different times, so be sure to check their individual opening hours.
Getting to Ekka
Secure Parking has teamed up with Ekka again this year, as the preferred parking partner.
Exclusive rates will be offered to Ekka visitors between Friday 10 and Sunday 19 August 2018 at their Valley Metro, McWhirters and Chinatown carparks. You must pre-book online to access these special rates.
Public transport is the easiest and most efficient way to get to Ekka.
Trains arrive and depart from Exhibition Station right in the middle of the Brisbane Showgrounds and dedicated Ekka buses stop close to entry gates.
Timetables are available on the TransLink website and by calling 13 12 30.
To gain discounted Translink travel tickets of $6 for adults and $3 for children return, an Ekka admission ticket (either a hard ticket or online ticket on your mobile phone) must be produced.
Uber and Taxis
It’s only a short Uber or taxi ride to the Ekka from the city. Leave your car in the city and catch an Uber or taxi directly to the Brisbane Showgrounds. There are dedicated drop off and pick-up zones conveniently located near popular gates.
Although cycling inside the grounds is off limits, secure bike racks will be located down Carriage Way next to Rydges Hotel.
