Since the first Royal Queensland Exhibition in 1876 wines have always been judged at the RNA. In 2009 the RNA will once again host the Royal Queensland Wine Show from Sunday 5 July to Saturday 11 July at the Showgrounds in Brisbane.
Being the first of the annual National Wine Shows of Australia it is significant for the industry and connoisseurs alike as it provides the first taste of the new seasons vintage.
With more than 3000 entries from over 200 National wineries it offers Australian wine makers an excellent opporutnity to compete fro prestigious awards and recognition as being the country's best wine producers.
Wine judges from across the country will take part in the judging process from July 5-9 2009 with the winners being announced at the distinguished Wine Show Awards Dinner to be held on Thursday 9 July in The Coffee Club Auditorium, RNA Showgrounds.
