Ekka Ignites presented by B105

National Anthem

The stars of Oscar Theatre Company, a self-funded theatre company providing experiences for Brisbane's youth and arts community will perform their rendition of Australia's National Anthem each night from 6pm.

Woodchop Relays

The Woodchop Relay Series pits teams of nine axemen head to head to compete in a variety of chopping disciplines.See the sheer strength and determination as axes are flung and woodchips fly at 6.05pm.

Ride and Drive

It's the epitome of city versus country in this horse versus engine race. Mechanical and traditional horsepower meet in a thrilling relay race that combines both Showjumping and Motorkhana skills.

Frank Green Horse Man

27-time national rodeo titleholder Frank Green will take to the stage during 10 days of show, astounding audiences with his reputable affinity and command with animals.

Frank's amazing horsemanship commenced at the age of 10, with his career since spanning to include work as a jockey, race horse trainer and a stockman.

Celebrity Ekka Grand Prix

Celebrities go head-to-head in the Ekka Grand Prix driving John Deere's new high  performance Gator XUV's. Racing a lap around the oval and completing farm style challenges, its game on with the first across the line wins.

Toyota V6 HiLux Heroes

Australia's best precision drivers return to the Ekka with a hi-octane display of driving. The team's performance features drifting, formation driving, hand brake turns, high speed flicks and spins, ramp jumps and two wheel driving in V6 powered Toyota HiLux's.

Jet Van

The ENERGEX Community Arena will ignite with the ground shaking Jet Van. Once lit the afterburner blasts 10 metre flames from the fighter jet engine. New at Ekka this year, the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine will wow audiences with its huge roar.

Monster Truck Mania

Freestyle jumps and car crushing madness as a supercharged methanol breathing V8 Monster Truck is unleashed on the ENERGEX Community Arena. An Ekka favourite, Monster Trucks are the perfect ending to a great day out.

ShowTime FMX

The ShowTime FMX Kawasaki Freestyle Moto X Team was formed in 1999 and first performed with three mounds of dirt. Since then they have cemented their position as a spectacular act with an average of 200 performances a year and the most experienced freestyle Moto X team in Australia.

Fireworks Show

The spectacular fireworks display is a highly-anticipated event that provides the perfect way to culminate a fun-filled day at the Ekka. Ekka-goers can relax in the ENERGEX Community Arena as the night explodes into an incredible array of colour and excitement.
