How do I enter into a competition?

  1. Competition schedules and entry forms are available online. Refer to the category of interest to download the competition schedule.  The schedule contains the Rules and Regulations relating to the competition of choice.  It also helps to determine which class/es are available for entry.

  2. Submit your entries using the online entries system or download a copy of the entry form and forward to:

Is it possible to send a cheque as payment if I have submitted entries online?

If entering online the only method of payment is debit/credit cards.  To complete your online application, you must supply credit card details. MasterCard or Visa.  Unfortunately we do not accept American Express and Diners Cards.

Has my entry form been processed?

Entry forms take up to 7-14 working days to process. Please allow for this time before contacting us about the process of your application. A list of entries and receipt will be posted to you once processed. This is to confirm your submission.

How do I know if I have been accepted into a competition?

A receipt and list of entries will be posted to exhibitors once applications have been processed. Please allow up to 7-14 working days for entries to be processed.  On receipt of your list of entries, please ensure that it is checked thoroughly to ensure the entry details are correct.  Failure to do so will reflect a misprint in the competition catalogue (if applicable).

 

When do I deliver and/or collect my entries?

Each competition has its own delivery and collection day and time. Please refer to the relevant competition schedule.

 

If I have entered the same entry into an interstate show, am I still able to enter it in the Royal Queensland Show?

Yes. Restrictions may be placed on your entry if you have entered it into a previous Royal Queensland Show. Refer to the schedule for further information.

 

I have exhibited at the Royal Queensland Show before; will I automatically receive a schedule pack and entry form?

Schedules and entry forms are only available online under the competitions category tab.

 

If I am exhibiting, am I entitled to passes?

This is dependent on which competition you have entered, please refer to relevant competition schedule for more details.

 

If entitled to passes, when will I receive them?

Entry passes will be sent out to exhibitors who are entitled 2-3 weeks prior to show. Please refer to the competition schedule for more details.

 

How do I delete an entry created online?

To delete an online entry, you can simply delete the entry yourself by clicking on the delete entry button.  Entries cannot be deleted once payment has been made.

 

How do I change an entry?

If you require an entry to be changed after the payment is processed, you will need to submit a written request and forward to:

Is there parking available on the grounds?

There is no parking on the grounds.

 

Which gate do I enter/exit if I am exhibiting?

Please refer to relevant competition schedule for the information.

 

Where do I obtain a vehicle access permit from?

The RNA upholds strict access procedures when entering/exiting the grounds.  Depending on the competition of choice, exhibitors require a vehicle access permit.  Request a vehicle access permit.

 

How do I find competition results?

They can be found on the results tab under the relevant competition category.

 

What classes require horse performance records?

Horse performance records are required for Hack, Pony Hack and Galloways (includes Show Hunter classes) they are NOT required for Breed or Rider Classes.

 

Is my horse required to be vaccinated with the Hendra Virus?

Yes. All horses that enter the grounds must be vaccinated with the Hendra Virus vaccine.  The microchip number MUST be submitted at the time of entry.  All microchip numbers will be checked by Zoetis after the close of entries.  Horses must have received their second dose of the Hendra Vaccination 21 days prior to Sunday 2 August 2015. Contact your local vet for further microchipping queries.
