IMPORTANT UPDATE

A Property Biosecurity Plan is no longer required to enter the 2017 Royal Queensland Show beef competitions, following recent changes to the Johne’s Beef Assurance Score (J-BAS).

There is no requirement for exhibitors to have a biosecurity plan in place until October 1, 2017 - after the 2017 Ekka.

The Royal Queensland Show is the only Royal Show in Australia to judge Stud Beef, Led Steer and Prime Beef.

 

A highlight of the Beef Cattle judging is the Stud Beef Champion of Champions Show where over 1,100 Stud Beef are paraded, judged and displayed throughout the 10 days of Show.

Before You Enter
Please ensure that you have read the Beef Cattle Schedule before you submit your entries. To complete your application online, you must supply your credit card details. Mastercard, or Visa. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express and Diners Cards.


Schedules
A Competition Schedule is the rule book for the Competition. The Beef Cattle Schedule tells you everything you need to know about the Beef Cattle Competition such as entry fees, closing dates, delivery details, conditions of entry, prizes and much more.


Please be aware the Schedule is subject to change and we suggest Exhibitors regularly check the website for updates.

Stud Beef

The Stud Beef Cattle judging started in 1876 and is the largest and most prestigious annual gathering of Stud Beef in Australia. Stud beed includes several competition categories including, paraders, herdsmen's, champion of champions, young judges and more.

Led Steer

Led Steer

First Judged in 1979, the Royal Queensland Show led steer and heifer competition has been rated arguably the best of its kind in Australia. Classes cover both live and carcass categories, a schools competition, an interbreed point score for teams of three.

Prime beef is a popular competition with the beef category. Includes many categories, single classes, pen of three, pen of six, carcass competitions, young auctioneers competition and more!
